Johnny Pierre has been active as a songwriter since 1966.  As a songwriter, JP enjoys writing in several different musical genres; Americana, Blues and Rock & Roll.  Besides his songwriting activities, JP was was a member of the Freelance Vandals and opened shows for such artists as John Hiatt, Dr. John, Albert King, Paul Butterfield and NRBQ.  JP's music has also been reviewed in such publications as Creem Magazine, Billboard magazine, The Hollywood Press , Newsday, Cashbox and Long Island Pulse magazine,  Currently, Johnny records and releases his own solo recordings as well performing with the Americana Rock band, the Biscuit Kings.
